If all goes well, the Architecture Tourists will be out this Thursday night for 3+ free events. There are review questions at the end of this post.
The Georgia Trust is hosting a series of events for National Preservation Month. It's all free as near as I can tell.
I'm hoping to attend a presentation, "...and the first runner up is ... the Split-Level House" by Richard Cloues. It's at 5:45 at Rhodes Hall, Atlanta's premiere (and maybe only) Richardson Romanesque mansion. This is a an architecture "2-fer." You probably won't see this one:
Of course May 6 features the First Thursday Buckhead Art Stroll, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. We'll start on Bennett Street. There are always some opening receptions on First Thursday's. That means snacks and drinks, and fresh art and meeting the artists in person.
And Maitre Gallery:
By the time we've seen these and other Bennett Street galleries we'll need a break.
So we'll hop in the car and head to Westside's White Provision where Astolfi Art is hosting a reception for "BOSQUE 2," an exhibition of works by contemporary artists
Luis Garcia-Nerey and Anke Schofield.
From a prior Astolfi event:
Who knows? You might run into some of your buds. (David Lewis and Katherine at the Thornton Dial show at White Provision.)
Review:
See you,
Terry
