Rest in Peace "Mr. Imagination" R.I.P Gregory Warmack

I was delighted to find a niche devoted to Mr. Imagination at Barbara Archer Gallery last night. It wasn't a surprise. After all it was the opening for "Pure Folk."


But this wasn't good news. Mr. Imagination died on May 30, 2012.

I met Mr. Imagination last year at his solo show at Barbara Archer. He had a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye. He was determined to bring the audience into the show, to make it fun. He succeeded.


A fish from very un-fishy components, you wonder where it comes from.

He donned natty dreads from time to time.





He posed for everyone and with everyone.



Mr. Imagination and his art charmed the room, in this case Jerry Cullum.


Was there any material he couldn't use?

He brought a throne and a bottle-cap crown and we took pictures. That crown was heavy and made folks laugh.

That was on February 17, 2011. I expected to meet Mr. Imagination again. I'm glad I have a few pictures to show you.
